Directions For Use
- Mixing Instructions. Enclosed in each bag is a cup that holds approximately 10 ounces of dry milk replacer powder by weight. Add 1 enclosed cup (level full) of milk replacer powder to 2 quarts of warm water (110˚ – 115˚F). For best mixing, sprinkle the powder onto the water and mix with a wire whisk. Always mix milk replacer solution as needed for immediate feeding.
- Feeding Directions. Feed 2 to 4 quarts of colostrum twice during the first day of life. Ensure that one colostrum feeding occurs within two hours of birth. Feed Manna Pro Colostro-Fix or Colostrum Supplement, if maternal colostrum is not available. Beginning day 2, feed 2 quarts of milk replacer solution every 12 hours through weaning. Individual animals vary in requirement and appetite. Adjust the feeding rate accordingly, being careful not to overfeed milk replacer.
- General Care. Feed colostrum the first day. Ensure that one colostrum feeding occurs within two hours of birth. If maternal colostrum is not available use Manna Pro Colostro-Fix or Colostrum Supplement. Begin feeding a starter feed in the first week. Manna Pro’s Calf-Manna® is a great supplement to help get calves started on dry feed. Sprinkle a little Suckle Select powder on the starter feed to get animals nibbling. Maintain a regular feeding schedule. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Work with your veterinarian to develop a comprehensive vaccination and health program. If you have questions about your feeding program, please contact Manna Pro at (800) 690-9908.
