Mixing and Feeding Instructions

Mixing:

Using the enclosed scoop* (level full), add Colostrum Supplement powder to warm (110° F) water according to the table below and mix thoroughly. For best mixing, sprinkle the powder onto the water and mix with a wire whisk. Always mix Colostrum Supplement solution as needed for immediate feeding. When mixed with water, this colostrum supplement solution should be creamy white in color and have a pleasant, sweet aroma. Do not feed any colostrum supplement solution that is abnormal in appearance, color or aroma. *The enclosed scoop (level full) holds about 1 oz. of powder by weight. Periodically weigh a filled scoop to assure accuracy. Puppy or Kitten 1 scoops 1/2 cup (4 fl oz).

 

Feeding:

Feed Colostrum Supplement solution the first day of life as outlined below. Intake of colostrum is very important. If you have difficulty getting the animal to consume colostrum, contact your veterinarian promptly. **For pygmy/dwarf breed goat kids, use half the amounts for Colostrum Supplement solution shown above as a guideline. ***Evenly space the recommended number of feedings within a 24 hour period. Puppy or Kitten Birth-day 1 COLOSTRUM 1 teaspoon per ¼ pound bodyweight every 3 hours For Puppies and Kittens: This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only.
